Tasmanian devil Optimization is a metaheuristic algorithm that mimics the Tasmanian devil's way of life, especially in its food search strategy. The Tasmanian devil is a wild animal belonging to the Dasyuridae family that lives in the Tasmania area. Tasmania devil is unique in the process of finding food. There are two strategies carried out, namely foraging by hunting, searching for food by eating carrion so that these animals have more alternative sources of food.
This foraging method was adopted into a mathematical model and is now known as the Tasmanian devil optimization algorithm.
